MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Basic Job Requirements:
• Possess a Masters/Degree in mechanical/chemical engineering from a locally/internationally recognized university.
• Fresh graduates with good academic results and Engineers with limited working experience can apply.
• Knowledge of power plant and balance of plant (BOP) equipment design would be an added advantage.
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Able to work in a teamwork environment with cross functional teams both locally and internationally
Responsibilities as Engineer:
• Secure fulfillment of the tender/project contractual requirements in terms of safety, design functionality, quality and constructability for the scope of supply.
• Ensure compliance of the company’s engineering processes, procedures, design rules and application of Information Systems/tools.
• Ensure that the design of the plant and equipment are in accordance to the applicable codes and standards and are according to good engineering practice especially with regard to Environmental, Health & Safety and Operation & Maintenance requirements.
• Prepare process flow diagrams, P&IDs and equipment technical specification under the supervision of Senior Engineer/Lead Engineer.
• Coordination with the other project team members for design data exchange.
• Timely issuance of project engineering documentation in accordance to engineering schedule.
• Review and release vendor engineering documents under the supervision of Senior Engineer/Lead Engineer.
• Support the site during construction & commissioning and warranty phase.
• Provide feedback from executed projects and implement “lessons learnt’ corrective/preventive actions.
Specific Technical Competencies:
• Knowledge of mechanical balance of plant (BOP) equipment design would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of process flow diagrams and P&IDs would be an added advantage.
